About Sanchay

In one line: Sanchay is a free budget app for iPhone and Android that logs your spending from bank messages and payment receipts, and keeps all your data on your phone.

In a paragraph: Most money apps start by asking for your bank login, your messages or an account. Sanchay asks for none of it. It reads your bank messages and payment receipts right on your phone, and turns them into expenses in a monthly, fortnightly or one-time budget, in any of 25 currencies. Even its AI features run on the device: Apple Intelligence on iPhone, Gemini Nano on Android. There's no sign-up and no Sanchay server: your financial data never leaves the phone, except to your own iCloud if you turn on backup on iPhone. A Bachat Streak rewards every budget cycle you finish within your limit. Sanchay is free, with no ads, no premium tier and no subscriptions.

Using the name

  • Write it as Sanchay, with a capital S. The lowercase "sanchay" is only for the logo.
  • Sanchay (संचय) means "saving up" or "accumulating" in Hindi.
  • The streak is called the Bachat Streak (बचत, "savings").
